what is weight training
A
A form of training that uses progressive resistance against a muscle group

how can you alter weigh ttraining to meet different needs
A
- heavier weights for muscualr strength which is 80% or more of 1 rep-max (3-5 sets of 2-6 reps)
- lighter weights for muscular endurance which is 50-60% of 1 rep-max (3 sets of 12-15 reps)

advantages of weight training
A
- Variety of equipment to prevent boredom * Strengthens the whole body or the muscle
groups targeted. - Can be adapted easily to suit different sports

A
- Requires expensive equipment

the correct technique it can cause injury to the performer
