A
the use of controversial methods to gain an advantage or to win that push the boundaries/ rules to their limit

sporting examples of gamesmanship
A
- time-wasting in hockey by hitting ball out of play
- slow play in golf. Smashing a ball in tennis at the opponent.
- Golf match play – not conceding a small part.
- Sledging in cricket.
-Taking a toilet break in tennis when it is not actually needed. - Taking a very long time to serve in a racket sport to unsettle the opponent.

what are some reasons why perfromers use gamesmanship
A
- Pressure to win from sponsors/coach/crowd/media.
- Importance of event.
- It has become quite normal to use gamesmanship.
- Low level of sportsmanship.
- Previous history of opponents using gamesmanship.
- Win at all costs attitude
