Can lead to CN III palsy (Eye down and out)
Look for a lens shaped collection of blood

Subdural hematoma
Rupture of bridging veins leading to slow venous bleeding.
Seen commonly in elderly and alcoholics or shaken babies.
WILL BE CRESCENT SHAPED crossing suture lines eading to a midline shift.

Treatment for an ischemic stroke
tPA if within 3-4.5 hours.
reduce risk with aspirin or clopidogrel.
Where are venous sinuses found in the skull?
In the meninges.
What veins drain into the dural venous sinuses?
Superior sagittal sinus
Inferior sagittal sinus via the Straight sinus
Transverse sinus.
What drains into the sigmoid sinus?
The transverse cinus.
