C’era una volta un bellissimo melo, che faceva bella mostra di sé nel giardino di Adele, una bimba simpatica e piena di vita.

Ad agosto, quando le mele erano belle mature e pronte da cogliere, tutti i bimbi del paese facevano a gara ad arrampicarsi sul melo per farne una scorpacciata.

Il problema era che essendo le mele così buone, i bambini oltre a mangiarle, ne portavano via sacchi interi! Così che alla sera non ne restava nemmeno una per farci la torta…

Adele ci rimaneva sempre male, perché desiderava tanto mangiare la torta di mele della sua mamma, ma sua mamma non se la sentiva di impedire ai bambini di prendere le mele da loro giardino.

Cosa potevano fare?

Così la zia di Adele prese a passeggiare attorno all’albero di mele, in quel momento sopra i rami non c’era nessuno.

Greta confabulava tra sé e sé con parole strane e magiche, dopo di che toccò l’albero e sorrise tutta soddisfatta!

Prese poi un cartello, ci scrisse sopra, “Mangia quante mele vuoi, ma non portarne via più che puoi!” e lo appese davanti al melo.
