Q

Lloyd George’s opinion

A

Didn’t like Wilson’s idea of self-determination and colonial freedom as it would pose a threat to Britain’s empire. He wanted Germany to be punished, but not too Harshly because they were an important trading partner and he wanted to continue the blockade of Germany and make private deals with them.

The Armistice was a compromise for everyone

A

It was not too strict on Germany. The Kaiser abdicated on the 9th November 1918. At this point, German politicians sent to sign the Armistice had to accept any terms.
