Q

Succinylcholine: Action

A

An ultra-short-acting depolarizing skeletal muscle relaxant. Causes paralysis by interfering with neural transmission at the myoneural junction. Depolarization of the drug maybe observed as fasciculations. Onset of action is within 0.5 to 1 minute. Duration of peak effect is 4 to 10 minutes.
