Mag: action

A

↓ striated muscle contractions and blocks peripheral neuromuscular transmission by reducing acetylcholine release at myoneural junction. Reverses refractory VF caused by hypomagnesemia and aids in replenishment of intracellular potassium. Manages seizure in eclampsia pts.

A

Life threatening ventricular arrhythmias due to digitalis toxicity, refractory VF, pulseless VT, torsades de pointes, preeclampsia and eclampsia, adjunctive to alleviate bronchospasm in acute asthma

A
