Blocks cellular histamine receptors; ↓ vasodilation; ↓ motion sickness, prevents, but does not reverse; histamine mediated responses.

Supplemental therapy to epi and anaphylaxis. Relief of dystonic reaction resulting from phenothiazine OD
Benadryl: Contraindications
Hypersensitivity; during acute asthmatic attacks and newborns, premature neonates, Or breast-feeding women.

Hypotension, tachycardia, Vertigo

25-50mg IV, IM, IO
Benadryl: Pedi Dose
1-2mg/kg IV, IO. Max of adult dose
Benadryl: Precautions
Hyperthyroidism, HTN, avoid SC or perivascular injection. Drug and alcohol use causes ↑ CNS depression
