What is the Scientific Method?
A
A way of systematically asking and testing questions.

What is the Scientific Method Process?
A
Observation -> Hypothesis -> Experiment -> Conclusion -> Repeat (if necessary).

What is a Hypothesis?
A
A statement that takes an “if… then” form.

What is an Independent Variable?
A
The Variable that is varied or manipulated by the researcher.

What is a Dependent Variable?
A
The response that is measured. The Dependent Variable is the presumed effect of the cause (the Independent Variable).

What is Qualitative Data?
A
Data dealing with descriptions. Can be observed but not measured.

What is Quantitative Data?
A
Data dealing with numbers such as length, height, weight, etc… Can be measured.
