Concentration - Mole Fraction Flashcards
1
Q
What is the Mole Fraction?
A
The combination of all components of a mixture divided by the amount of moles combined.
X(a)=n(a)/(n(a)+n(b)). (moles fraction = moles solute/total moles in solution). Percentages are out of 100 grams.
Mole fraction of “a” in a mixture of “a and b.”
2
Q
Moles solute = Moles fraction * total moles in solution
A
Moles solute = Moles fraction * total moles in solution
