Posterior Surface
Extends laterally and expandsto form the acromion process
Divides the posterior surface
Acromion Process
found at the tip of the shoulder
articulates with the lateral end of the clavicle at the acromioclavicular joint
Supraspinous Fossa
Upper portion of the scapula
Infraspinous Fossa
Lower portion of the scapula
Scapular Notch
Along the superior border
Coracoid Process
Articulates with the clavicle creating the coracoclavicular joint
Glenoid Fossa
Shallow socket located on the lateral edge of the scapula that unites with the head of the humerus and forms the should joint
Infraglenoid Tubercle
Inferior to the glenoid fossa,
Lateral projection of bone
Attaches to the long head of the triceps brachii Muscle
Subscapular Fossa
Anterior portion of the scapula,
Large region of the subscpularis mucles.
