Responsible for the production of spermatozoa and testosterone
Epididymis
Where spermatozoa is sent to complete the maturation prior to ejaculation
Highly coiled tube, measuring 20ft

Posterior position that extends from the upper to lower poles of the testicles

Contain the epididymis and testes
Ductus (Vas) Deferens
Start at the inferior pole of the epididymis.
Thick layer of smooth muscle (Peristalic waves)
Sperm travels through this during ejaculation
Inguinal Canal
Where the ductus deferens travels into the abdomen, crossing above the ureters curves behind the urinary bladder.
Seminal Vesicles
Located posterior to the urinary bladder
contributes 60% of the semen volume

Situated below the urinary bladder
Contributes 30% of volume
Ejaculatory Ducts
Union of the ductus derens with the seminal vesible ducts on either side.
Penetrates the prostate -> prostatic segment of the urethra

Two small sturctures located at the base of the penis
Secrete an alkaline Lubricating mucus, prior to ejaculation, neutralizes any urinary acids
Corpus Spongiosum
Surronds the urethra
