Hemodynamically significant hypotension
Hypovolemia
The Pt has taken an erectile dysfunction medication in the previous 48 hours including:
-sildenafil (Viagra)
-tadalafil (Cialis)
-vardenafil (Levitra)
-Other phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor medications
Not recommended for use with pediatric patients
Adverse reactions for nitroglycerin
Hypotension Bradycardia Tachycardia Headache Dizziness Weakness Syncope Nausea Vomiting
Route of administration for nitroglycerin
Sublingual
Onset/Peak/Duration for nitroglycerin
O: 1-3 minutes
P: 5-10 minutes
D: 20-30 minutes
Adult dosages for nitroglycerin
Tablet: 0.4 mg
Single spray: 0.4 mg
May repeat dosage in 3-5 min twice after initial dosage
