Routes of administration for morphine sulfate
IV

Adult dosages for morphine sulfate
1-4 mg increments over 1-5 minutes
Pediatric dosages for morphine sulfate
0.1 - 0.2 mg/kg
Special considerations for morphine sulfate
Respiratory arrest/depression can be reversed by naloxone
The drug can cross the placental barrier
