Adult Dosages for furosemide

A

If the patient is prescribed furosemide: The initial dosage is double the Pt total daily prescribed dosage of the drug (usually 40 to 80 mg)

If the patient is not prescribed furosemide: 0.5-1.0 mg/kg (usually 30-40 mg)
