O: 1-3 minutes
P: Variable
D: Variable
Adult dosages for calcium chloride
500-1000 mg (0.5-1.0 Gm)
May repeat dosage in 10 minutes
Pediatric dosages for calcium chloride
0.2-0.25 mL/kg 10% solution
Special considerations for calcium chloride
The drug may be used as a pretreatment to the administration of diltiazem (Cardizem)
The drug may cause bradydysrhytmias with a patient prescribed digoxin (Lanoxin)
