opioid antagonis- prevents further opiod binding

A
altered conscious state and respiratory depression secondary to administration of opioids

nill

precautions?
A
if pt dependant on opioids, may be combative after administration
neonates

what are the side effects?
A
sweating, goose bumps, tremor, nausea/vomiting, agitation, dilated pupils, convulsions

what are the IV and IM onset, peak and durations?
A
IV
onset- 1-3mins, no peak and duration 30-45 mins
same for IM
