Usage
Literal translation: Subject + going to do + something
Uses:
- action that will take place shortly
- planned action for the near future
Note: In English we often use words such as ‘about’ to when we want to emphasise that an action will happen shortly.
Example:
Elle va prendre son sac.
(She’s about to pick up her bag.
Construction
We need the conjugated form of ‘aller’ and the infinitive of the full verb.
I will tell you about what I will do this weekend
Je vais vous parler de ce que je ferais ce week-end
Translate:
Is she going to leave soon?

Elle va partir bientôt ?
Est-ce qu’elle va partir bientôt ?
Va-t-elle partir bientôt ?
Translate:
