How do we reset the emergency brake after performing Cab attended procedure?
- MC - max brake; reverser - NEU (obs. BCP max brake pressure; EMY fault light extinguishes)
- Check correct TDN In fixed radio
- Return, portable to cradle
- Marker lights to AUTO
- Reverse to FWD
- Set hand/ foot
- MC to COAST
- obs. Brace Cyl. Holding brake pressure
- Depart acc. to platform procedures
When is modified cab unattended procedure performed?

What is the modified cab unattended procedure?
The exact same procedure as the full club on the full cab unattended procedure with the following differences:
- Portable DTRS may be left in cradle
- Fixed train radio must be put to higher volume
- Don’t need to lock the Cabs door. It can be left open at the drivers discretion.
How do you change ends with a driver changeover at a terminus? (Relief At opposite end)
- Comms with the other driver, using the CAB button to advise. They are in position and ready for handover.
- Current driver, deactivates and exits, the active cab, leaving the train in control of , relieving driver
- Relieving driver, activates the cab at the opposite end
How does a driver change ends at a terminal station?
- MC to MAX BRAKE, Reverser to OFF
- Wait for auto update of TDN to register in DTRS, then deregister TDN
- MC switch to OFF
(observe EMY brake light & press, TRIP NOT SET light, PARK BRAKE light, TMS logs off - ‘vacant ops.’) - Remove and retain portable DTRS
- ensure unnecessary equip. OFF or on AUTO
EXIT via B side
CHECK & INSPECT:
- Trip is raised, if visible
- Inspect rear of train - marker lights WHITE headlights extinguished
- Along the platform check for obvious defects, Saloon lights are on, Pantos in OK condition
- Front of train Marker lights RED, Headboard, obvious defects
