Must ligate both arteries otherwise you get postoperative haemorrhage

The mesovarium - attaches very dorsally to the body wall

The mesometrium - attaches more laterally

The pelvic fascia - cant break so can’t cut any further down

The suspensory ligament of the ovary - break or cut during a spay

The proper ligament of the ovary - dont need to break during a spay

Closed - completely surrounds ovary eg. bitch

Broad ligament
