What are the state offices of emergency services?
OES
lead agency for state level of emergency planning, coordination, and operations
responsibilities include allocate, receipt, or integrate federal or out-of-state resources, maintain liaison with federal or out-of-state agencies, ensure current knowledge of resources
What is teh emergency operations centers?
individual local governments may coordinate and run their own emergency operations along with state at designated EOC
main function is to direct, manage, and coordinate emergency operations at a local level
in most cases, state/federal disaster operations will take the lead due to abilities to secure/manage outside resources
What is the disinfection process for water during an emergency?
use household bleach, add certain amount and wait 30 mins prior to use
