the shared values, ideas, expectations and beliefs of the individuals in abusiness. it may be identified from the way people dress and behave, the language employees use and the way they treat each other and customers, the slogans and logos used, the rituals and the way they celebrate events and the company policies.
official culture
the values and beliefs the company is trying to convey to the public. usually observed in mission statements, logos, slogans
real corporate culture
the actual values and beliefs present in the company, observed from dress, behaviour, the way employees and managers relate to each other
developing corporate culture
communication, the desired values and behaviours of employees
leading by example, role models that demonstrate desired values with employees following the same manner
recruitment and selection, when bringing new employees into the business the managers can teach employees the values and beliefs.
training, where employees learn new knowledge snd skills to help them perform effectively.
reward and recognition, rewarding employees who demonstrate the correct behaviours can create a positive reinforcement
