a severe life threatening allergic reaction in which the blood vessels dilate, causing a drop in blood pressure and the tissues lining the respiratory system swell.
this interferes with the airway. also called anaphylactic shock

rare occurrence, as the infants immune system hasn’t matured enough to develop the kinds of antibodies that can cause anaphylactic shock
