What is sensitive skin?
A condition characterized by fragility, thin skin, and redness
What is telangiectasia?
Visible
Broken or extended capillaries less than 0.5 mm due to intrinsic or extrinsic causes
Which Fitzpatrick skin type is the most challenging to treat? Why?

•Great elasticity, firmness & does not show signs of aging as quickly as type 1 or 2
•can become hyper-pigmented from treatments & aggressive exfoliating
• Requires spf to slow down hyperpigmentation; avoid sun use spf
What is true about Fitzpatrick type 3-4?
Thicker skin
Usually by more oil production
needs more deep cleanse.
WAXING is difficult due to thicker hair root in follicle
What is true about Fitzpatrick skin type 5 & 6?
•oilier & thicker skin but Can have same level of reactivity as Lower Fitzpatrick types
•Reactions may be harder to see but May be just as intense as those on lighter skin
•prone to a form of hyper keratosis (ichthyosis) &dead skin build up. Need more exfoliating
• May have abnormal hypertrophic scarring (keloids)
•sun protection still necessary
