Why are the bones of the chest important in esthetics?
A
When performing full body treatments such as wraps/ massages that include the sternum, scapula as clavicle as reference points.

What is the thorax?
A
The chest/pulmonary trunk (consists of sternum, ribs & thoracic vertebrae) that acts as protective framework for the heart, lungs & internal organs.

What are the Ribs?
A
The wall of the thorax made of 12 pairs of bones

What is the scapula?
A
AKA the shoulder blade. The large flat triangular bones of the shoulder. (There’s 2)

What is the sternum?
A
AKA the breastbone. Flat bone forming the ventral (front) support of the ribs

What is the clavicle?
A
AKA Collarbone. It joins the sternum & Scapula
