Importance of Informed Consent:
In research, consent is the first thing that is always done, do not move forward without it (even without any risks of demographics)
A research design used with only one group of participants
First, do a baseline assessment (anxiety or depression), administer the treatment, then do a final assessment to measure and compare the baseline

Single-Subject Design
An experimental design where participants are non-randomly assigned groups of patients to either receive a treatment or placebo
Quasi-Experimental Group
A research design where participants are randomly put into groups

Interpreting and Applying Research to Practice:
A SW researching interventions for a program at agency includes doing a literature review
SW would make sure it fits in with the population that is relatable and make adjustments to intervention as needed (can’t generalize due to needs of population)
