What is the first stage in mitosis?

A

The DNA replicates to form two copies of each chromosome. The cell also grows and copies it’s internal structure (mitochondria / ribosomes)

What is the second stage in mitosis?

A

Mitosis now starts to take place. One set of chromosomes is pulled to each end of a cell. The nucleus also divides.
