To be remorseful means to feel a deep guilt or regret for something you have done or not done.
Avoir des remords signifie ressentir une profonde culpabilité ou regret pour quelque chose que l’on a fait ou pas fait.
She would have arrived last night, but I’m not sure.
Elle serait arrivée hier soir, mais je ne suis pas sûr.
I should have come yesterday.
J‘aurais dû venir hier.
