Q

How does manoeuvre load control (MLC) work?

A

Use the wing control surfaces (aileron and lift spoilers) to move the centre of lift inboard during manoeuvres, such that the wing root bending moment, a measure of wing structural loading, is reduced

Q

How does gust load alleviation (GLA) work?

A

It is a control system fitted to some Fly-by-wire (FBW) aircraft that reduces the effect of gust loads on the aircraft by deflecting control surfaces such as ailerons, rudder and elevators
