What are elevons?
A combination of elevators and ailerons
Where are elevons usually found ?
On delta wing aircraft
If an aircraft has elevons what will it not have ?
Horizontal stabilisers
How will the elevons react to a pitch command or a roll command ?
For a pitch command, elevons move together
For a roll command, elevons move in opposite directions
What are ruddervators ?
A combination of rudders and elevators
Where can ruddervators usually be found ?
On V-tailed aircraft with no horizontal stabiliser
How do the ruddervators move when a yaw command is inputted ?
For yaw, for a left command, the left hand ruddervator will go down and left and the right hand ruddervator up and left
How do the ruddervators move when a pitch command is inputted ?
For upgoing pitch, the left hand ruddervator goes up and right and the right hand ruddervator goes up and left
