CXR, arterial blood gas analysis; CBC; blood culture; suptum gram stain, culture; optional: legionella, vrius, serology, pleural fluid, acid-fast stain
treatment for pneumonia?
supportive therapy: oxygenation + hydration;
antimicrobial therapy
pneumonia prevention?
influenza, pneumoccal vaccines
