TCM II - The Chinese Clock Flashcards
1
Q
The Chinese clock
A
Qi ebbs and flows in the channels in a 24-hour cycle like tide
* In each two-hour section of the day a specific channel and organ are at their strongest, whilst another is at its weakest
* Symptoms that always occur at certain times of the day (a headache at 5PM, or always waking at 3AM) may be linked to an organ or channel in distress
* It would typically relate to the organ which is at its strongest at that time, or conversely at its weakest
