Mental picture:

A
  • Gentle and sweet-natured, ailments (physical and mental) tend to arise from suppressed emotions.
  • Easily offended ― as though stabbed with a knife.
  • Sensitive to rudeness of others.
  • Pride and honour― too dignified to fight / lose control. Equates to loss of dignity.
  • May be history of abuse, especially sexual abuse.

General picture:

A
  • Suppressed emotions cause physical and mental ailments.
  • Useful after cuts with sharp instruments e.g., surgery.
  • Doesn’t like to be touched.
  • Can be sleepy during the day but unable to sleep at night.
  • Feel worse after an afternoon nap.
  • > warmth, rest, eating breakfast.
  • < missing a meal, tobacco, exertion.

Indications (if they fit the symptom picture):

A
  • Surgery on soft tissues, with straight line cuts using a blade.
  • Caesarean after giving 1 dose of arnica 200C, continue with staph. 30C / 200C if mental symptoms are also present.
  • Episiotomy― staph. 200C once daily for 5 days can help the incision heal faster. Also helps women who experience indignity and anger at the loss of control during delivery.
  • Pus or infection along an incision line / stab wound ― staph. 200C, one dose.
  • Cystitis –after sexual intercourse, after catheterisation.
  • Number one remedy for injury of genital organs.
  • Man: Scrotum injury (surgery, injury, football)
  • Women: Sexual injury including depression after abuse.

Case example 1:

A
  • 85-year-old patient with infected wound.
  • An iron plate in his thigh, which he had for 20 years after an injury, was removed.
  • The wound got infected as a result of the surgery and the patient (a diabetic) had a high fever and got very weak. The doctors did not think he was going to make it.
  • Staph. 200C given once / day for 4 days. Fever went down in one day and it took 4 days to reduce the infection. Patient was released from hospital after 1 week and went back to work 2 weeks later.
