Origin and course of the basilic vein
Originates from dorsal venous network of hand
Ascends medially
Termination of basilic vein
At border of teres major it moves deeper and combines with brachial veins to form the Axillary vein
Origin and course of Cephalic vein
Originates from dorsal venous network of hand
Ascends antero-laterally (passing anteriorly at elbow)
At the shoulder it travels between the deltoid and pec major (deltopectoral groove)
Termination of Cephalic vein
Enters axilla via clavipectoral triangle and joins Axillary vein
Where do the basilic and Cephalic veins join
In cubital fossa they’re joined by the median cubital vein
