Where is the deltoid found
Top part of the body covering the shoulders
Where is the pectoralis major found
Upper and front part of chest
Where is the latissimus dorsi found
At back of the body either side of the chest
Where is the biceps found
Top and front part of each arm
Where is the triceps found
At top and back of each arm
Where is the external obliques found
Side of the abdomen
Where is the gluteals found
The middle of the body at the back forming the bottom
Where is the hip flexors found
They sit deep in front of the hip and connect the leg
Where is the quadracepts found
Top of each leg at the front
Where is the hamstrings found
Top of each leg at the back
Where is the gastrocnemius found
At the bottom of each leg at the back also known as calve muscles
Where is the tibialis interior found
Runs down the shin
What is the function of the deltoid
Raise arms in all directions at shoulders
What is the function of the pectoralis major
Adduct arm at shoulder
What is the function of the latissimus dorsi
Pulling arms down at the shoulders and behind your back, adduct and extend
What is the function of the biceps
To contract at elbow
What is the function of the triceps
Extend at elbow
What is the function of the external obliques
Pull chest downwards, flex and rotate spinal collumn
What is the function of the gluteals
Adduct and extend the leg at the hips pull the leg backwards
What is the function of the hip flexors
Flex hip, help the leg and knee up towards the body
What is the function of the quadriceps
Extend leg at knee
What is the function of the hamstrings
Flex the legs at the knees
What is the funnction of the gastrocnemius
Point the toes at the ankle
What is the function of the tibialis anterior
Pulls toe up toward shin
