strokes, heart attacks, heart failure, peripheral arterial disease.
block arteries and restricts blood flow to heart resulting in a lack of oxygen reaching it causing damage or causing it to arrest.
obesity: what is it?
fat has accumulated to such an extent that it can potentially have negative effects on health.

genetics, diet, lifestyle and health conditions.

breathlessness, sweating, low self-esteem.
struggle to move around and to exercise to loos the weight- having a lot of pressure on joints and increase strain on respiratory system. may not feel comfortable going out making them feel isolated.

heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure.
body is having to work harder to push blood through blocked arteries causing massive strain on the heart. increased blood pressure. diabetes caused by unhealthy diet consisting of too much sugar.
type 2 diabetes: what is the effect and what does that mean for the body?
pancreas isn’t working properly and can’t produce enough insulin which causes an increase in blood glucose levels.
type 2 diabetes: what puts people at a higher risk for developing this?
people with an unhealthy diet where they eat an excess of fatty foods and foods high in sugar.
type 2 diabetes: what are the categorises of people who are likely to experience this?
overweight, Caribbean, african decent, Asian hereditary.
type 2 diabetes: how does this affect current health &/ wellbeing?
tiredness, urinating more, excessive thirst.
may struggle to do sporting activates as they may feel that they get dehydrated faster. may also restrict where they go as they might need to go to the toilet so needs to ensure there is access to one.
trying to flush out excess sugars and trying to control the sugars.
type 2 diabetes: how could this affect future health &/ wellbeing?
damage to eyes, feet and heart.
affecting how often they leave their residence or where they go- if feet heart they might not want to walk too far.
might not feel able to move a lot such as doing exercise as they may experience chest pain associated with the damage to their heart and feet. may not be able to see well as the eyes are damaged.
due to blocked blood vessels.
body works too hard and damages vessels.
