if you realise there is something you can do to improve your health and wellbeing and you act on it.
what are some things that those with a positive attitude to their health and wellbeing do and how do they do it?
regular check up at the GP or own checks at home.
balanced diet- eatwell guide.
planning regular exercise.
mindfulness- meditation.
physical hygiene- thoroughly washing themselves.
routine- structuring day to be productive.
sleep- 8 hours good quality sleep- most nights.
what qualifies someone as having a negative attitude to health and wellbeing?
absence of physical illness, disease and mental distress but not actively improving yourself because of it.
what are some things that those with a negative attitude to their health and wellbeing do?
basing their attitude on not having anything wrong with them.
continuing as they are- including keeping bad habits such as smoking.
assuming that because they are currently fine they will stay healthy into the future.
define holistic health.
combination of physical health, mental/ intellectual health, emotional wellbeing, social wellbeing.
how can you look after your physical health?
exercise, balanced diet, MOT, sleeping well, not misusing drugs, taking drugs, alcohol, personal hygiene, clothing, food and water.
how can you look after your intellectual health?
mental stimulation: reading books, games, jobs, learning new skills.
how can you look after your emotional wellbeing?
pets, activities you enjoy, hobbies you enjoy, exercise, routines, positive relationships, feeling positive emotions, recognising and being able to express emotions.
how can you look after your social wellbeing?
maintaining relationships, mixing in appropriate environments eg: school, home, transport/ public.
