reducing pain, fighting infection.

change their mental state. some provide immediate feling of wellbeing or even euphoria.

- stimulants: caffeine, cannabis, nicotine.
- depressants: alcohol, solvents, heroin.
- hallucionogens: LSD, ketamine.

increased braina ctivity, blood pressure and heart rate making inderviduals more active, alert and excited.

paranoia, aggressiveness, schizophrenia, depression, suicidal feelings.

calm, relaxed, reduced tension, confusion and loss of concentration.

sleep problems, anxiety, memory loss and depression.
