  1. Elevated WBC: 11,000mm³
  2. Low Hgb and Hct
  3. Altered electrolytes: K, Na, Cl
  4. Abd x-ray may show free air and fluid in the peritoneum and distended loops
  5. CT scan or UTZ - changes in abd organs
  6. MRI shows intra-abd abscess
