* immunosuppressive drugs, oral contraceptives - GI disorders

Assessment:
Acute Pancreatitis
A
- Severe, continuous begins in mid epigastrium then LUQ radiating to the back
- Pain aggravated by eating after 1-2hrs
- Pain not relieved by vomiting and antacid
- Hypotension
- Flexion of the spine
- Abd guarding behavior
- Low grade fever
- Leukocytosis
- Respiratory distress

Chronic Pancreatitis
A
- Heavy, gnawing, occasional burning or crampy LUQ abd pain
- Malabsorption and weight loss
- Impaired protein and fat digestion
- Mild jaundice with dark urine
- Steatorrhea
- D.M.
