AML
What is lymphatic?

what leukemia is most common in children?
ALL
What is the signs and symptoms of leukemia?
- high fever
- Bleeding (lack of platelets)
- Brusing
- weakness, chills, SOB

What is the rad appearance for leukemia?
- in childhood leukemia: appears as a radiolucent band at metaphysis, usually aout the knees, ankles, wrist
- Progression may cause patchy lytic lesions, moth-eaten appearance, cortical erosion
- Vertebral compression fractures
- Mediastinal enlargement from lymph modes
What is the treatment for leukemia?
Multi-drug chemotherpahy, bone marrow transplant, antibiotics, transfusions
what is lymphoma?
neoplasms of the lymphoreticular system: lymph nodes, spleen, lymphoid tissues of parenchymal organs of GI, lung and skin
What are the 2 different lymphomas?
Hodgkins: 90% originate in lymph nodes
Non-hodgkins: most originate in parenchymal organns (GI tract, lung and skin), some originate outside nodes
What are signs and symptoms of lymphoma?

- persistant fever
- Night sweats
- Fatigue weight loss and malaise
What is the radiograpgic appearance in the lung for lymphoma?
mediastinal lymph node enlargement is most common finding on film: bilateral but asymmetric

- large bulky polypoid mass, irregular and ulcerated
- Other finings may include: ulcers, splenomegaly, prominence of lymph nodes, thickening and distortion or rugal folds
What is the radiographic appearance in the bone for lymphoma?
- eroison, usually of upper lumbar and lower thoracic
- Mottled pattern of destructon and sclerosis - appear as mets
- Dense vertebral sclerosis in hogkins disease
What is the radiographic appearance in the kidney for lymphoma?
