Define pathology
they study of diseases that can cause abnormalities in the structure or function of various organ systems

any abnormal disturbance of the function or structure of the human body as a result of some type of injury
define pathogenesis
is the sequence of events producing cellular changes that ultimately lead to observable changes known as manifestations

the incidence of sickness sufficient to interfere with an individuals normal daily routine
define mortality rate
number of deaths caused by a particular disease average over a population
define congenital
disease present at birth caused by environmental or genetic factors
define hereditary
genetically transferred from parent/ancestors to child
define inflammatory
results from the body reaction to localized injurious agent
define degenerative
caused by deterioration of the body
define metabolic
caused by a disturbance of the normal physiologic function of the body
