Eyepiece Tube / Body Tube
The piece of the microscope that magnifies the subject to be seen by the human eye
Location ( the long tube thing below the eyepiece and above the nosepiece)
Nosepiece
the part that holds two or more objective lenses

Objective lenses
The lenses near the specimen being examined

Stage Clips
Clips on the stage used to hold the microscope slide in place

Where the specimen is placed for observation

Diaphragm
controls the amount of light that reaches the specimen

Light Source / Illuminator
a thing at the bottom of the microscope that shoots light to the diaphragm and brights up the specimen
location: ( above the base below the diaphragm)
Eye piece / Ocular lens
Part used to look through the microscope
location ( on top on the eye piece tube/ body tube)
Arm
Part if the microscope that connects the eyepiece tube to the base
Location: ( literally the back of the microscope, a has the coarse focus nob on it)
Coarse Focus nob
a control that allows for rapid focusing by moving the stage ups or down
Location ( on the arm of the microscope, next to the fine focus nob)
Fine Focus nob
A nob that allows slow but precise control for focusing
Location ( next to the illuminator, and course nob)
Base
Bottom of the microscope
location ( below the illuminator)
