  • Farmers who fought in the Rev War didn’t get paid so they couldn’t pay for taxes.
  • A law passed where the poor would pay as much as the rich.
  • Goods weren’t accepted cause the tax collectors wanted cash.
  • Farmers would be put into prison cause they didn’t pay their taxes.
    -They surrounded the court
  • The court would let them pay their taxes in good but didn’t address the other concerns
  • So they surrounded the court again
