Q

Supporting research for consistency

A

Wood et al did a meta analysis of 100 similar students and found that the minorities who were most consistent were most influential as it was a metaabalysis it shows that the same results were seen across studies thus concluding that when when the minority are consistent it is a major factor when influencing majority

Q

Supporting research for flexibility

A

Beneath created groups of three participants and one confederate who had decided how much to pay a victim of a ski accident when a consistent confederate argues for a low amount he had no effect on the majority however when he compromised and was a bit flexible the majority changed their opinion to a lower amount this shows how flexibility is key to helping influence a majority

Q

Artificial tasks

A

Judging colours of slide is not an everyday task for two reasons conformity and influence happens people know other people further more real situations have more pressure and significance attached eg jury service this the results cannot be used to explain the influence in real life
