Ex.cirrhosis- the skin, sclera of the eyes, and mucous membranes take on a yellow color. Cirrhosis of the liver is usually associated with alcoholism or chronic hepatitis.

Jaundice- is caused by an abnormal increase of bilirubin(a yellow compound formed when red blood cells are destroyed) in the blood
