provide diagnosis and treatment services in the private office setting
Hospices:
provide supportive treatment to terminally patients and their families

Psychiatric Hpspitals
Acute Care or General Hospitals:
provide treatment (surgery, medications, and therapy) and diagnosis (laboratory, diagnostic imaging) of diseases for a short period of time; may also provide emergency and obstetrical care
Nursing Homes or Long-Term Care Facilities:
Provide long-term care for patients needing extra time to recover from an illness or injury before returning home, or patients who can no longer care for themselves
Ambulatory Care Centers, Surgical Centers, or Outpatient Clinics:
provide services that did not require an overnight hospital stay; services range from simple surgeries to diagnostic and treatment services
Health Maintenance organization (HMO)
Provides a wide range of services by a group of physicians of primary-care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals in a prepaid system
Home Health Care
Provides nursing, therapy, personal care, or housekeeping services in the patient’s own home
Rehabilitation Centers:
Provide intensive physical and occupational therapy; includes inpatient and outpatient treatment
