across the palm to touch the other fingers, an important
skill for grasping and holding objects.
THUMB OPPOSITION
– A skin condition causing greasy, yellowish,
scaly patches, often seen on a baby’s scalp as “cradle
cap.”
SEBORRHEA
– A baby’s first real smile in response to
seeing people, usually developing around 6–8 weeks old.
