지 or 죠 can be placed at the end of a sentence to say “isn’t it” or smthn similar
ur re affirming what you think of the situation, and u kinda know the answer already
날씨가 춥지? - it’s cold isn’t it?

this fragrance/smell is nice isn’t it?
어제 학교에 안 갔죠?
you didn’t go to school yesterday, did you?
선생님도 갈 거죠?
teacher, you’re going too right?
지 and 죠 can be applied to questions where the sentence has a question word but it doesn’t have the meaning of “isn’t it”
you may have forgot the answer or smthn like that
카드를 어디에 두었죠?- where did you place/put the card?
카드를 어디에 두었어요? where did you place/put the card?

ah where did i put my card again? (i just had it now i can’t remember where i put it)
can’t use 지 to ask yourself a question like ㄹ/을까 when there not a question word
밥을 먹지? - not correct
내가 뭐 먹었지? - what did i eat again?

지 or 죠 can also be places at the end of a verb or adjective as a response to a question
feeling of “of course”
내일 갈 거야? - are you going tomorrow?
갈 거지 - yeah i’m going (ofc i’m going)
배고파?
배고프지
are u hungry?
ofc i’m hungry
you can say one “must” do something using 아/어야 되다/하다
지 can replace 하다/되다 when saying you “must” do something
나는 지금 가야지 - i must go now
열심히 공부를 해야지 - you need to study hard
