유일하다 is used to describe a noun is the only unique/sole noun that will be acted on.
different from ~만 as when ~만 is used there is no indication that the noun is unique or sticks out from any other noun
나는 사과만 샀어 - i only bought apples (you didn’t purchase anything else, just apples)
나는 유일한 사과를 샀어 - i bought the only apple (it was the only apple there, it’s “unique” because it was the “only” apple)
저는 아직 먹고 있는 유일한 사람이라서 부끄러워요
오늘이 휴일이라서 제가 학교에서 공부하는 유일한 사람이에요
i’m shy because i’m the only person who’s still eating
today is a holiday, so i’m the only person who’s studying at school today
제가 먹고 시픈 유일한 음식은 삼겹살이에요
선생님의 말씀을 듣고 있는 유일한 사람은 저에요
the only thing i want to eat is samgyeobsal
i’m the only person who’s listening to the teacher
you can use 유일하게 as an adverb and it’s usually placed before the describing verb
제가 유일하게 먹고 싶은 음식은 삼겹살이에요
the only food i want to eat is samgyeobsal
you can describe a noun with an adjective and also use 유일하다 to describe it too
이 방에서 유일한 예쁜 여자는 저 여자예요 - the only pretty woman in this room is that woman
우리가 유일하게 할 수 있는 것은 우리 힘을 다 합하고 보는 거예요 - the only thing we can do is combine our efforts together a try
